Founder
About Jesse Smith
Jesse is an Ontario-born chef with 15 years of experience in the international fine-dining industry. Throughout these years, he had the chance to travel and work in 9 countries spanning 6 continents.
While traveling the world, Jesse worked as a chef at 3 of the top 50 restaurants worldwide, including Pujol in Mexico City, the world's 5th best restaurant.
Over the last 5 years, Jesse has been a private chef for the community of Muskoka.
Inspiration
After his time traveling as a chef in Mexico, Jesse was inspired by the Mexican flavours and became passionate about bringing them back to Muskoka.
El Gringo's Cantina combines the flavours and techniques of fine dining Mexican food with the atmosphere of street food.
